Tony Bellew: AJ faces being frozen out if he loses Ruiz rematch
This is the lightest AJ has ever been for a world title fight.
In fact, 237lbs is the lightest he’s scaled since his ninth professional fight against Denis Bakhtov back in 2014.
The last time Joshua dropped anywhere close to this weight was for the unification win over Joseph Parker.
In that bout, AJ controlled the smaller, faster man by boxing intelligently for 12 rounds.
This remains his only win on points to date.
Andy Ruiz Jr’s body transformation also caught the eye as he weighed in over a stone heavier than the first fight.
